about
Everyone in love with glass has a story. My story goes back many years. My university education as an archaeolgist and my profession being an antiques dealer have influenced my passion for glass to lead me in time to create my own beads.
I started my work with a short term program I attended at the Glass Furnace in Beykoz, Istanbul (www.glassfurnace.org) after which I decided to set up my home studio to develop this cheerful hobby . With time this hobby has evolved into an unavoidable passion. I found myself behind the torch producing beads all the time and decided to develop my skill. I attended workshops of some masters learning different techniques from each of them. I take every chance to develop myself and I really enjoy it.
Workshops I have attended;
- Kristina Logan: Lampwork Beads in Provence, France
- Marie-Odile Savigny: Pate de verre
- Anne Londez and Diego Bottacin: Glass rings in Lausanne, Switzerland
- Corina Tettinger: Lampwork Beads in Zwingen, Switzerland
- Tom Galbraith: Boro pendants at "Glass Furnace", Istanbul, Turkey
- Lucio Bubacco; Torso and Flameworking, Murano, Italy
- Michi Suzuki; Glass beads, Lyon, France
- Andrea Guarino; Glass Beads, Hamburg, Germany
- Michael Barley ; Glass Beads, Hamburg, Germany
